I’m so excited to be kicking off the first week of Margarita Monday with this delicious creation! It tastes like spring in a glass and I am HERE FOR IT! Enjoy this on a warm day or the vanilla makes it feel super cozy on a cooler day. You really can’t lose with this drink. I give it a 10/10!
What do I do to make this margarita?
This margarita only has 5 key ingredients.
You don’t need an expensive tequila to make a delicious margarita. I have tested a few different tequila brands that are affordable and does not sacrifice taste at all. I’m no tequila expert but I definitely recommend using a Blanco tequila. Some of my favorites are Hornitos or Los Altos.
Fresh is always best!
Always use fresh limes when you’re making homemade margaritas. It makes a world of difference in taste and it only takes a little extra elbow grease. Trust me when I say it is WORTH IT!
I just use the Costco brand, but you can find this at any grocery store! I prefer it over honey with margaritas every single time.
This makes the perfect balance with the spicy rim. I guarantee you probably have it in your cabinet!
For the rim…What if I don’t like spice?
I use a combination of chili pepper, cayenne pepper and coconut sugar. You can also sub the coconut sugar for brown sugar if you don’t have it on hand. If you like less spice, that is totally fine! Just use less spice or omit it altogether. Boom!
